The long-standing crisis between the management of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, and the students has finally been resolved following a crucial meeting facilitated by the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), alongside key government officials and stakeholders.
In a joint communiqué released by Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode (Billioncodes), the Assistant General Secretary of NANS Southwest, it was confirmed that the resolution was reached after an extensive deliberation involving:

- NANS Zone D Representative
- The Honorable Commissioner of Education, Hon. Sunday Eluwole
- Hon. Sikiru Akinloye Bajepade (House of Assembly Member representing Ila Constituency)
- Senior Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor on Students’ Matters, Comrade Aderoju Bashir (Bash Aluta)
- The management of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun*
The meeting, which aimed at addressing student grievances, saw all parties coming to a mutual agreement. Following government-led investigations, the concerns raised by students were acknowledged, and immediate steps were taken to reinstate their academic rights.
The Honorable Commissioner of Education, Hon. Sunday Eluwole, emphasized the state’s commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring students continue their studies without disruption. He assured that the affected students would regain full academic access and resume their educational pursuits without further delays.
The student leadership expressed deep appreciation to:

Speaking on behalf of NANS Southwest, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for students’ rights and ensuring that their concerns remain a priority. He assured that the association would continue to engage with relevant stakeholders to safeguard students’ interests.
He also urged the management of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, to facilitate the immediate reinstatement of affected students. Furthermore, he encouraged students to remain calm and focused on their academic pursuits.
